Sound Practioner
Founder

I am a qualified sound practitioner, cacao ceremony facilitator, as well as breathworks facilitator and Indian head massager. I initially trained as a sound practitioner with the grand gong master Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre. I am constantly updating my knowledge with further training and personal development. With a background of over 30 years as a primary school teacher, I am comfortable holding a safe and comfortable space for everyone who walks through my door. I pride myself in my ability to connect with my clients and make them feel welcome and ready for their experience.
I think it is important to explain where my passion for this modality has come from as well as my confidence in how beneficial it can be. Following a dramatic event in my life, a few years, ago I ended up with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). Despite amazing therapy, I could not get away from the daily panic attacks that I was experiencing. My counsellor advised me to try a sound bath. With total fear, I walked in, feeling as if my PTSD would prevent me from staying. I was greeted by a wonderful, calm lady who asked me to make myself comfortable on the floor, using my mat, blanket and pillow. I lay down, feeling anxious about what lay ahead. I needn’t have worried - as my sound journey experience began, I was immediately hooked. My internal chatter switched off for an hour. My stress and anxiety disappeared almost as soon as the session began. The hour flew by, I was left feeling peaceful and calm, an incredible experience. I slept that night for the first time in ages. Of course, it was no magic cure but after many more sessions I knew that I had to go on and train to be able to provide this for other people, as well as keep myself in contact with the magic that a sound bath can provide.
So, I talk from a place of passion and knowledge when I say that sound baths have many benefits for those who participate, they have given me back my life in more ways than one.
